The Princess Diaries
Book one in the Princess Diaries series
Publisher: Macmillan Children's books
Mia hides her real feelings as she takes care of her disastrously disorganised mother, until her absent father drops a bombshell: She is actually Princess Amelia of Genovia, a small principality in Europe.
This is not just a story about the fun of dressing up and being chauffeured around, but also a telling social commentary on the challenge of learning how to be true to yourself.

I love this book! Mia is a unpopular,15 year old girl, but she has her best friend Lily, caring mother and rich dad. Just as she thought her life is over, she discovers that her dad is the prince of a island in the mediterranean - Genovia. Her grandmother is queen of Genovia, Mia is shocked and can't her head over the fact that she is princess of Genovia... This is a must read book and a must see film!!!
