Evil Captain Korda of the Galactic Empire has kidnapped Milo and Lina's parents. Not knowing where to start looking, the fearless pair embark on a perilous journey through Wild Space in a starship that is fast falling apart.

If they can reach the planet Thune in one piece, they may be able to find clues about their parents' whereabouts, and why they were kidnapped, from an old ally.

But then technical malfunctions, enemy attacks, alien oddities and cruel betrayal conspire to make their task almost (but not quite) impossible.

Tense, gripping and action-packed from the first page, this intergalactic adventure (which follows on from the World Book Day £1 book The Escape) will engage even reluctant readers.

Featuring some great characters (including the obligatory, self-righteous droid), the story features plenty of dialogue that adds to the momentum of the plot and keeps vocabulary relatively simple.
