Silly Billy
Publisher: Walker Books
Billy's a bit of a worrier. He worries about so many things, like hats and rain and clouds and giant birds, that it keeps him awake at night. One night Billy stays at his Grandma's and tells her about being worried. She has the ideal solution – a set of worry dolls who will do Billy's worrying for him while he sleeps.
Billy is thrilled and sleeps like a log but soon starts to worry about the worry dolls having so many worries! This time, however, he doesn't need anyone else's help but uses his own resourcefulness to overcome his problem.
A simple story, beautifully told, which will reassure and entertain children and adults alike. Anthony Browne's stylistically distinctive illustrations are characteristically apt and evocative.

I am a training teacher and read this book to children aged 8-9, it was a very powerful story that encouraged lots of discussion amoungst the children. To really add to the power behind the story we made the dolls. The students absolutely loved the story adn making the dolls. So thank you very much for writing this story. I would love to know a poem about the dolls if you know of one please. Thank you.

I think this book tells everyone that it's not good to keep your worries inside you.All the Anthony Browne books that I have read are great,so I am happy that I have all the books that I can read in my head. Even though I have only read this book once in my last year of school,I still have it in my mind. I would like to hear about any new books.Thank you.
