One, Two, Cockatoo!
Publisher: Andersen Press
Here is a rhyming, counting book with cockatoos having fun on every page – they fly, jive, splash and play hide and seek. One of them lays an egg too, as on the final page a cockatoo chick hatches out.
The cheerful white birds stand out against a pastel background on every page. Numbers are big and clear on the left of each spread and the text is short and readable.
A useful addition to the classroom or home library.

Me and my son (2.3 years old) read this book today at bed time, birds pictures in book really quite nice. I taught him to count numbers from 1 to 10 then thought story completed but when we turned to next page had surprised to saw a little tweet-tweet-tweet. My son turned every page and counted after that and he slept with this book.

My 3-year-old son enjoyed this book, which we recently borrowed from our local children's centre. It helps with basic adding up and counting. Also love the beautiful illustrations and surprise ending!
