Troubled teenager Sass arrives in England to live with an uncle she doesn't know. The wild seas, dilapidated castles and sunlit meadows are so different to her home in Brooklyn. She befriends a silver horse and an angry, brown-haired boy who seems as burdened with sadness as she is. He says he's a stable boy at the big house - but this couldn't be further from the truth.
