Mummy and Me

Etta and Mummy Elephant love their Magic Making Days, when they are creative together. They’re a Terrific Team of Two and share lots of happy hugs.

When they come up with a story, writing and drawing across lots of paper, Etta wants lots of adventure and action, but Mummy prefers a quieter time. Sometimes Etta wonders whether she’d like to be part of a larger family, but when Mummy comes to the rescue after a pirate ship adventure, she knows that their Terrific Team of Two is perfect. 

This delightful story celebrates imaginative play, and the strong bond between a parent and child. Families come in all shapes and sizes – and have their own special magic. Television personality Lydia Bright wanted to depict a happy, loving single parent household, like her own, and the warm illustrations by Jojo Clinch bring this to life beautifully. These elephants are adorable.
