A small girl takes her toy monkey everywhere with her. Together they imitate and then imagine visiting a string of real animals, from penguins to kangaroos, whose glorious images fill the pages.
Eventually the pair sit down to enjoy their tea, oblivious to an unexpected visitor, who seems to have followed them back from their travels.
This beautifully illustrated, stylish book is full of energy and fun. The endearing protagonist and her monkey leap around the pages with infectious vigour; each spread featuring the animals is a surprise and delight to behold.
The repetitive, rhyming text lends itself to reading aloud and sharing.

Thomas seemed to really enjoy this book. His eyes were nice and big as soon as he saw the kangaroos, this is a must read book.

Absolutely brilliant book :) My son always hears in the children centre and i am planning on buying it for his birthday. Throughout the book, there are pictures of different animals and gives you the opportunity to act really silly with your little one as well as helping him to guess what animal comes next. I would definately recommend this book to all those with toddlers :)

My animal-mad 1-year-old loves this book! She bobs along with the rhythm and gets very excited with the anticipation of "we went to see some..." before the page is turned to reveal the animal. The illustrations are fantastic with great movement and expression.
