Miffy and the New Baby
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Miffy's mummy and daddy have some very exciting news, Miffy is going to be a big sister! There is lots to plan and do to get everything ready for the baby and Miffy helps by making beautiful pictures and toys for her new sibling. When the baby finally arrives Miffy is as proud as can be, and is sure to be the best big sister in the world.
There is a reason Miffy books are still so popular 50 years after being first published in the UK, with their simple, sweet rhyming stories and instantly recognisable illustrations they appeal to children no matter what the decade. Tony Mitton has done an excellent job of translating the poetry into English without losing the original Dutch feel. This book can be enjoyed purely for the delightful story it is, or even as a way to introduce young children to the idea of becoming an older sibling.

We love Miffy and this book is no exception... We read this many times in preparation for our latest addition to the family and just as Miffy made gifts for her new sibling so did my little one. A nice relaxed read with rhyming that really helps with the flow of the story.
