How to Glow Up Your Life 15/09/24
Make Tracks: Emergency
Publisher: Nosy Crow
A book to read and seriously enjoy with babies and toddlers, particularly ones that love emergency vehicles - and let’s face it, that’s most of them!
We have lovely detailed pictures of a fire engine, a police car, an ambulance and a rescue helicopter, with labels of their parts and a description of what they are for. There's lots to talk about here, helping you to interact with a toddler and really get into the book.
But even more of a thrill is the page next to each vehicle where you get to ask questions such as, 'Can YOU fly this rescue helicopter over the mountains?' And the answer is ‘yes’, as children can slide a disc of a helicopter through a slot. Wheeeeeee!
This is a brilliant interactive book with a lot of play value. Books are fun, and this is what you want to play with. This could be the book a child will demand over and over again as there’s so much read and do, so many questions to be asked, and so much to play with.
It is very robust and will stand a lot of reading and chewing, too. A great board book to share one to one.

Books about people who help us, for age 0-5
Discovering people in our community who help us (and their exciting vehicles!) is a key part of children's early years. As their worlds broaden to people and things outside the home, so they learn how some people have jobs that keep us safe and well. These are some of our favourite books to engage and excite young children on this topic.
