Mia has made a card for Daddy for Christmas, but Mum isn't sure that it's going to reach him in time. Later, at the Christmas market, Mia spies a mysterious postbox that transports her and her card into the Reindeer Express, a magical sorting office that leads to special, super-speed reindeer delivery. The magic and beauty of Christmas is expertly conveyed, and while the language stays simple and accessible, it retains a starry, exciting feel that works beautifully with the images. The realities of Christmas in a lone parent family are acknowledged, but there's nothing sad in this lovely celebration of the festive season.
