Jack and the FlumFlum Tree

Publisher: Macmillan Children's Books

When Jack’s granny falls ill with the moozles, the doctor tells him that the only thing that will cure her is the fruit of the mysterious flumflum tree which grows on a faraway island, the Isle of Blowyernose. Jack and his friends set sail in their boat to find the magical fruits, but their quest is rife with unexpected dangers. Luckily Granny has packed a patchwork sack full of eccentric items which prove surprisingly useful to help them find their way out of trouble.

There are hints of Edward Lear’s verse in this funny, appealing and imaginative picture book. Julia Donaldson’s engaging rhyming text is perfectly accompanied by beautiful and quirky illustrations by David Roberts.
