Yet, Maduria desperately wanted to be a singer, and so escaped to Chennai aged 19 and went on to become one of the greatest talents of Carnatic music.
Indra K Nooyi became the CEO of PepsiCo in 2006 and re-visioned the brand to include heathier options such as fruit juice, baked chips and bottled water, and reduced the salt and sugar in many snacks. Under her leadership, PepsiCo became one of the most successful companies in the world, and Forbes magazine ranked Indra as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world.
