Girl on a Plane
Publisher: Andersen Press Ltd
Anna has spent the summer with her family in Bahrain and is on her way back to boarding school in England. Minutes into her flight, the plane is hijacked by Palestinian guerrillas and forced to land in Jordan. They land the plane in the desert and make their demands to the British government. If their demands aren’t met within three days, they’ll blow up the plane, with Anna and the rest of the passengers still inside it.
Anna not only has to survive the horror of watching the clock count down to her impending death, but also the extreme conditions of the desert, dwindling food supplies and the growing desperation amongst her fellow travellers. All the while, she wonders if she will ever see her family again.
This is a tense psychological thriller based on true events.

I liked the book but in the first few pages it did not get straight into the action, however, it was more exciting when the hijacking happened in the middle. But otherwise the book was amazing and I definitely recommend it to other people.

This is a very good book about a plane that is held hostage. I liked this book because was good at describing the characters thoughts and feelings. It was good at portraying struggle and losing hope. One thing I didn't like was that some of the characters didn't have a very built up personality, but overall, it is an incredible book.

I really love this book, because it is so captivating. I couldn't put it down, as every new page held a new secret or moral. It really opened my eyes as to how some children live and work, and the things they go through. I would recommend this book to older children and even adults because I loved it so much!
