Fly Chick Fly!

Publisher: Andersen Press

Review

In an oak tree in the wood is an owl's nest and three baby owls who are learning to fly. The first two chicks leave the nest, but the last chick is afraid to fly, no matter how much Mother and Father Owl encourage her to spread her wings.

This touching tale about overcoming fear is a lovely and reassuring book to share with any child.  Parents and children alike will love Tony Ross's soft, gentle and heartwarming pastel illustrations of the owls and their woodland home.
