Review

A glossy board book with giant flaps for little hands to turn, which showcases a range of emergency vehicles at work. The text follows a simple "show and reveal" format of ‘Let’s hurry to… the hospital’, with the flap uncovering some more information about what the vehicle does.

The figures show both genders in the various roles and there has been some care in making the professionals ethnically diverse. Bright, bold backgrounds and chunky but clear illustration will catch the eye of even young babies.

This book is part of Child’s Play's Wheels at Work series, which also includes City, Farm and Construction. A nicely made board book for any little ones showing an interest in different types of vehicles.
