Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild

(4 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Scholastic

In the sixth of the phenomenally successful Dog Man series, three rather naughty characters use a shrink ray gun to miniaturise an abandoned robot belonging to evil genius and Dog Man nemesis, Petey the cat.

The next morning, Dog Man is accused of stealing more than a million dollars from a bank. The evidence is overwhelming, including a photo of him caught in the act, and our favourite dog-headed cop is arrested. But is he really guilty? And if not, how could he have been framed?

Fortunately, Dog Man’s friends Sarah Hatoff, Yolay Caprese, Li'L Petey, and 80-HD are working on proving Dog Man is innocent, but not before he gets sent to Dog Jail with a lot of hardened criminals who make fun of him for being neither dog nor human.

In all of the books, Dog Man routinely defeats super-powered criminals when the rest of the police have no plan, but is also usually criticised for behaving like a dog, despite the fact that his doggy characteristics are what tend to save the day. Great fun in a full-colour comic format with lots of guaranteed laughs.
