Greg Heffley is a normal American kid, albeit one with a habit of getting into (and out of) trouble. His diary, complete with hilarious cartoons, records a year in his life and follows his relationships with his nerdy best friend Rowley, annoying brothers Roderick and Manny and long-suffering parents.
Greg is constantly trying to boost his popularity but his attempts at bodybuilding, cartooning and money-making - all recounted in the same deadpan tone - inevitably fall flat.
This laugh-out-loud book was a New York Times bestseller and has had enormous success with children on both sides of the Atlantic. I love this book it is very funny and I would recommend this for younger teens and 8 plus. There are very funny characters, very funny humour for kids, it is great. If you have kids I would highly advise you get this for your kid.

This book is about a american boy's life, it is a funny story. I like it because it is funny. The american boy's name is Greg Heffley, he has an older brother Rodrick and a little brother Manny and a mum and dad. It really is a great story. Have a nice time reading it!

My dad doesn't like this book for the americanisms because he hates it when people in England write like they're in America. But still I love it because it makes me feel like I am in a different world. If you like diary of a wimpy kid by jeff kinney I think you might like the world of norm by johnathan meres. I read it last night and it was basically like an English version of diary of a wimpy kid! I recommend you to read it!

I thought this book was absouloutly great,Greg has a new freind called Rowley.And Greg is finding middle school a bit tough for him but at least nobody embarrasses him. Greg's life is being messed up by his brother Rodrick and Manny his little brother. so my advice is you have totally got to read this book to see what happens with Greg's life.And the author is Jeff kinney.Hilarious things happen to Greg.
