Clifftoppers: The Arrowhead Moor Adventure

Publisher: Nosy Crow

Review

Cousins Aiden, Chloe, Ava and Josh adore staying with their grandparents in their farmhouse on the coast. As they fill their days with long bike rides and scrumptious picnics, the children are always on the lookout for a good adventure.

One morning, while cycling along the country lanes, they are almost run over by a speeding open-top sports car. The driver, who is busy talking on her mobile phone, hurls abuse at them before zooming off. When they spot the unpleasant woman a little later on, they decide to follow her and are soon convinced that she is up to no good.

They believe she is connected to a gang of jewel thieves, but fearing the police won’t take them seriously, the children decide to investigate by themselves. Determined to solve the mystery and bring the villains to justice, they place themselves in dreadful danger.

This rip-roaring page turner about a group of strongminded young sleuths is reminiscent of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five series. Bursting with intrigue and excitement, it is ideal for confident young readers who enjoy traditional, wholesome adventure tales.
