Churchill's Tale of Tails

Publisher: Jonathan Cape

Churchill is a self-important pig. He enjoys painting self-portraits, playing the violin and having tea with his friends Billy and Gruff. He is particularly proud of his curly tail, even though it’s not big or fancy. So when it goes missing, Churchill is devastated.

Billy and Gruff try to help, even ringing the zebras in search of a spare tail. Sadly it doesn’t feel right so Churchill decides to try on lots of others.  He has such fun with fancy fish tails, snappy tails and spotty tails that he soon forgets about his friends. But when his own tail turns up unexpectedly, Churchill realises his mistake and asks his friends to forgive his silliness.

This funny and touching tale of the value of friendship is accompanied by entertaining comical illustrations.
