Butterfly Summer
Publisher: Usborne Publishing
When Becky moves to the sleepy village of Oakbridge with her Mum, she can’t imagine how she will fill the long empty days of the summer holidays which lie before her. Then Becky discovers the beautiful Butterfly Garden, a tranquil nature-filled haven and befriends a girl called Rosa May who seems to virtually live there.
Rosa May’s friendship becomes increasingly important to Becky after she discovers an old photo of her mum cradling a baby she doesn’t recognise. Despite Rosa May’s unpredictable temper she offers Becky a release from her lonely home life, which seems increasingly shrouded in secrecy. However, soon Becky begins to question who Rosa May really is…
This gentle but gripping book is a tale of friendship and the paranormal and is perfect for fans of Cathy Cassidy and Karen McCombie.

This book is the best book I have ever read. Full of mystery and the last few pages is just unbelievable. I never thought it would end like that. Becky has found a photo with a picture of her mum and a baby, this photo was taken 12 years before she was born. Who was the baby? Was it her sister? Where is she now? Read this book to find out all the answers. I would give a rating of 10/10. Such a heart warming book. I would recommend it to everyone.

Butterfly Summer was written by Anne-Marie Conway and first Usborne Publishing Ltd in 2012. The “blurb” on the back says it is a “haunting tale of intense friendship and dangerous discovery” and it comes under the heading of fantasy/paranormal in the published by library. In the book Butterfly Summer, it begins with a girl called Becky, who moves to a village called Oak Bridge with her mother. This was the village where her mother was born and when she gets a new jo...

Have you ever read a book by Anne-Marie Conway? If you haven’t I would defiantly recommend it. I read ‘Butterfly Summer’ and I thought it was really good. It was a good book for me as it had a lot of suspense and mystery in it and I really like books like that. The story line is very intriguing and the ending is not what I would have guessed. I found the beginning not as exciting as the middle or end but you have to read the beginning otherwise the story wouldn’t ma...

This book was extremely sad,as the sister that Becky had found out about had died. But i enjoyed it, because it was mysterious- and Becky's mum kept crying about something. At the end they were happy though. Overall it was a very fun book.

Spoilers Love the book!!! Cant believe Rosa Mays her sister who drowned when she was twelve. I felt so sorry for her but at least her dad comes back at the end of the book. How could he leave his family just because he was upset about Rosa May. The best part of this book is when Rosa May goes crazy when she finds out Becky knows about her past and tries to drown Becky so they can be together forever.

I have not really read this book but it sounds good because the librarian read us the blurb but I hope it is good because the cover looks good but then again we should not judge a book by its cover I am really looking forward to reading it so if anyone has read this book could you tell me a lot but not too much otherwise there's no need to read it
