Boy

Publisher: Orchard Books

Boy, a cave-boy, thinks the cave where he lives with his mother and father is too cold and dark. His parents offer to share the warmth of their blanket with him, but Boy doesn't want to share.

He leaves the cave and tries a variety of other places to sleep, but all prove to be too dangerous. Eventually, Boy returns to the cave and finds that there is just enough room to share his parent's blanket, after all.

A simple picture book with the unusual setting of a prehistoric family, complete with mammoths, volcanoes and dinosaurs (yes, dinosaurs). A charming book with the ultimately familiar message - 'there's no place like home.'
