Bobbo Goes to School
Publisher: The Bodley Head Ltd
Bobbo is a stuffed dog who belongs to little Lily. In a bad mood, she thoughtlessly throws him up into the air by his leg and he lands on the roof of a departing school bus.
Lily and mum are distraught, but Bobbo has an exciting day. He slides off the bus roof into a tree, is found by children in a school playground and spends the morning in a classroom watching all the activities. Fortunately, Lily’s mum eventually tracks down Bobbo and she and Lily visit the school where they are soon reunited with him.
This reassuring story makes a good introduction to the school setting for toddlers and pre-schoolers. Shirley Hughes' wonderful expressive illustrations perfectly capture the emotions of the characters.

I loved it because bobbo went on the school bus. And because they found bobbo.
