Big Book of Nursery Rhymes

Publisher: Doubleday

Review

The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes delivers what it promises: a generously-sized special book bringing together everything from old nursery favourites (including a highly entertaining selection of counting rhymes) and finishing with songs and lullabies.

Its brightly-coloured pages are peopled by bold and very funny illustrations by Kali Stileman, which provide a wonderful complement to the sometimes bizarre or surreal nursery rhyme language, and which offer much to entertain both children and grown ups. Altogether, this is a vivid, humorous, modern but highly satisfying collection of nursery songs and rhymes that is sure to resound with children.
