An Egyptian Escape

There is a huge sinkhole at the bottom of Charlie’s garden. Having fallen into it once before and had a narrow escape from the perils of Ancient Rome, he is determined not to make the same mistake again but, when his dog Bandit falls in, Charlie has no choice.

This time he travels back in time twice: to an archaeological dig in 1906 and then back to Ancient Egypt where he rescues an aging professor, meets a pharaoh, saves a precious treasure and discovers the true secret of the Eye of Pakhet.

Dynamic comic-book illustrations and sparse, simple text will appeal to reluctant readers, who may be inspired to find out more about the historical background to the story in the accompanying user-friendly information section.
