A Roman Rescue

Charlie and his trusty dog Bandit fall down a sinkhole and are transported to ancient Rome where he meets Cosmo and goes on an adventure to look for his dog and find his way back home.

Along the way, Charlie and Cosmo save Bandit from becoming a Roman sacrifice and win a chariot race, defeating the nasty bullies Porcus and Grumlo.

With its bold, graphic illustrations, short chapters, easy-to-read text in lower case and notes about Roman history at the end, A Roman Rescue is the first in a new series of graphic novels about ancient history which will appeal to less confident readers and graphic novel fans alike.
