Amira’s Picture Day

Amira and her brother are excited to see the new moon in the sky because that means that it’s Eid the next day! Their mum covers their hands in mehndi patterns, and they organise goody bags to give out at the masjid, or mosque, the following day. Then Amira realises it’s Picture Day at school tomorrow! She doesn’t want the class to have a photo taken of them without her. But she has the day off school for Eid. How can she celebrate while also feeling sad about missing out?
