A Busy Day for Birds

Imagine you were a bird – what would you do? You might peck at some tree bark, swoop like a starling or catch a fly with your beak. All in all, you'd keep pretty busy!

This is a bright, lively book, full of cheerful rhyme about the many different kinds of birds in the world. It is drawn with very distinct pop-art colours that really zing and grab your attention from the get-go.

Childen are sure to join in with the commands: whether it's standing on one leg, stretching their neck just like a swan, or shouting 'cock-a-doodle do'! Some of these actions are also guaranteed to entice a giggle (laying an egg, anyone?). You're certainly going to have a lot of fun reading it through together.

However, the story ends on a more relaxing note, making it a possible contender for the bedtime routine. Turns out that even a busy little bird still has time for a cuddle with Mum before bed...
