About this book
Aneira Fampeira feels nervous not only because she is about to start in a new school but also because that new school is Ysgol Arswyd - the School of Scares. When she meets her friendly teacher Mrs Gwrachen for the first time it becomes clear that she has nothing to worry about. Her apprehensions disappear further as she is warmly welcomed by all her fellow ghouls and monsters such as Ffranc Einstein and Ystlumwen. Even though she does come across the occasional scary monster such as Crinc the cyclops, by the end of her first night in her new school she is a happy vampire. This a clever book full of funny characters that will help young readers understand that everybody feels nervous at certain times and friendship can blossom in the most unlikely places. With eye-catching illustrations and a link to a teacher’s pack included, the is a great pick for any little monster to read especially at Halloween!
