About this book
In the African Serengeti, a tiny mouse accidentally disturbs a lion from his rest. To the mouse’s surprise and delight, the lion decides to let her go free. Later, when the lion is caught in a poacher’s net, the mouse nibbles through the rope and, returning the favour, sets the lion free. Both lion and mouse happily return to their families.
This retelling of Aesop’s fable is told without text through pictures alone. Such is the beauty and expressiveness of the artwork that this story of friendship and loyalty clearly unfolds even to those unfamiliar with the tale. It is rich in colour and movement, and a joy to share with young children.
