Little Chick is the only little chick in the hen coop. His family adore him. Mum, Dad, Middle Chick and Sgŵp the dog spend all their time making sure life is as comfortable as it can be for him. But when Little Chick ventures beyond the walls of the hen coop and into the big world for the first time, he realises that he is not the only Little Chick around. There are hundreds of Little Chicks just like him. He starts to feel unsure of himself and starts comparing himself to all the other Little Chicks, thinking that they’re cooler and better than him. In the end Little Chick realises even through there are hundreds of Little Chicks they’re all just as important as each other. This helps Little Chick feel happier about himself and helps him make new friends. A sweet story that will help young readers start to navigate and understand the world around them.
