About this book
A little girl takes us through her day in Nigeria, from saying good morning to her parents, to going to school, to playing football in the park, to eating a delicious dinner before bed. A familiar day to many children. But in Nigeria, people speak many languages, and there are phrases from three different languages throughout.
With two pages of further information about the food and the languages at the back, and phonetic explanations of various phrases in Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa, this small book packs in a lot of information. Plus, it's visually hugely appealing, with vibrant colours and a loving family hugging each other throughout. It's particularly nice to see Daddy buying fish for supper.
It's part of the Our World series: these short, simple picture books introduce youngsters to other countries and cultures in an inclusive and accessible way.
