About this book

Granny’s got a goat! Granny’s got a goat! Not one, not two, not three, not four, but more and more and more and more!

Granny has 100 goats, to be precise, and her beloved goats follow her wherever she goes, often getting up to no good. There’s a brown goat beeping on the bus, a grey one sitting in the hair salon, and a white goat stealing underwear off the washing line. No one knows how Granny manages to keep control of her mischievous animals.

In the yard at home, the children help Granny keep an eye on them and count them all. But when one goat disappears, a chaotic, noisy search ensues as the children race to find it.

Children will adore this fun, fast-paced counting book from the brilliant Atinuke. Inspired by the illustrator’s Caribbean home, the bold and bright artwork is bubbling with action, working wonderfully with the romping, rhyming text.

A hilarious tale that cleverly introduces readers to numbers 1-100.
