Not Sleepy: A dinosaur's guide to happy bedtimes

About this book
It's bedtime, but Rex is very NOT tired. He visits his friend Rumble and they brush their teeth. Brush brush. Then he visits another friend and they play in the water. Splish splash. So it goes on, and in visiting his dinosaur friends, Rex goes through the whole bedtime routine. Yawn. He's a bit tired now. His grandpa puts him to bed, because all dinosaurs need sleep before they play the next day.
This delightful board book has been carefully designed to ensure that toddlers will enjoy engaging with it. The gentle story leads the child through a bedtime routine towards sleep, providing opportunities to talk about what they might do themselves. The use of repetitive text on each spread encourages the young child to join in, with the words and the actions, while their fine motor skills are practised by the lifting of a flap. Plus, there are two surprise pop-ups to spot, and Rex's pet rock to find on every page. Every dinosaur is cute (even big Grandpa isn't scary), and the illustrations use a soft colour palette to soothe the eye before bed.
This is the first in a series about Rex, who is guided by his older dinosaur friends to discover healthy eating, as well as a bedtime routine. Gentle, interactive fun that may prove useful to some parents hoping to instil a bedtime routine.
