When a mysterious old lady visits the shop, she puts his picture inside a magic egg, telling him to keep it warm and safe. He is astounded when, a week later, a baby dragon hatches out. Harri is sure he’ll win the contest with a real dragon, but can he convince everybody that it is a toy, and what does Ryan’s dad have planned?
This entertaining chapter book, with comical black-and-white illustrations, combines Welsh mythology with everyday life, friendship and trust. The first in a trilogy, it is sure to captivate independent young readers who enjoy their adventures with a touch of magic.
