About Pyjamarama in your community
There’s nothing quite like a bedtime story. It’s a magical, joyful time for little ones and their families.
BookTrust’s Pyjamarama campaign aims to help every child experience the wonder of a bedtime story by encouraging families to share books with their little ones each night.
How can I get involved as a BookTrust book-gifting partner?
Put on your favourite PJs and join us by throwing pyjama parties and activities full of storytime fun. We’d love you to get involved and help us get more families reading, while promoting your own local services and having a great time! We’ll be celebrating from 1-7 June 2020.
BookTrust is providing over 450,000 free picture books for 0-5s and is working with partners in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, so that children attending Pyjamarama events can take home a story that’s perfect for bedtime reading.
Your BookTrust contact will be in touch with you soon about your book deliveries.
There will also be lots of fantastic tips, resources and a promotional toolkit to use before and during your celebrations on our website. These will be available in English and bilingual Welsh/English versions.
What will I receive in my Pyjamarama pack?
If you are a partner involved in our Pyjamarama book-gifting you will be sent copies of a free picture book, promotional and empty-belly posters, rhyme sheets and activity sheets. We’ll be announcing the book for 2020 in the new year, so keep an eye on this page.
What if I’m a parent or carer and I want to attend an event?
If you are a family, contact your local library to find out about events taking place near you next June, where you'll be able to pick up a free book and join in the fun.
There will also be lots of fantastic, fun activities on our website for you to do at home. If you received a copy of last year’s book, Car, Car, Truck, Jeep, you can still find loads of great resources on our website...
