Get your hands on Benjamin Zephaniah's new book Windrush Child

We have three copies of this brilliant novel to give away in our competition.

The front cover of Windrush Child

Leonard is just ten years old when he travels from Jamaica to England to join his father - they're one of many families encouraged to help rebuild the country.

But when Leonard arrives, he faces lots of difficulties - from the freezing weather and the awful food to the unwelcoming and racist behaviour of the people around him.

Windrush Child by Benjamin Zephaniah charts Leonard's journey, all the way from his journey to England up to his life as an elderly man denied citizenship in the country he has lived for almost all of his life.

Part of the Voices series of historical fiction, Windrush Child is a meticulously researched book that examines how it feels to be a member of the Windrush generation and will really get children and adults thinking.

We're delighted to have three copies to give away, so if you fancy winning one, simply answer the question below and leave your details before the closing date of 11pm on Monday, 4 January 2021. Good luck!
