Wild Book Day

It’s Wild Book Day! The day the pictures escape from the books. The dragons take flight with the rockets and witches. The pirates go digging for treasure and riches (on diggers, naturally). They’re off to explore. But they mustn’t be seen. So when you’re looking, they’re quiet, but when you’re not there, it’s Wild Book Riot!  

This is a fun-filled, glorious celebration of all that makes books interesting. The illustrations are packed with characters children will recognise – from the Three Little Pigs (and Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider) to the fairy godmother, Alice (in Wonderland) and Mowgli, along with wizards, dinosaurs, princesses and many more.

The idea that all the characters leap off the pages when you’re not looking will enchant young readers, as will the fact that this is a secret to keep.

This is a book to make children leap about with excitement, but also to encourage a love of reading. It would be perfect for pre-schoolers, and also children in their first few years of school, as the final spread has people all dressed up as book characters.
