Kahlen cannot get ill or old. She's breathtakingly beautiful, living an outwardly perfect life. Yet there's a price for this perfection.

Kahlen is the Ocean's servant (a Siren), who must obey Her rules and lure victims using her ethereal yet deadly singing. To keep their existence secret, Sirens must always remain silent among humans.

But Kahlen is haunted by those she's drowned. When she meets Akinli - who sees through the perfection to who she really is - she finds a love that breaks all the Ocean's commandments. Kahlen yearns for this human relationship - but will the Ocean release her?

Inspired by universal Siren legends, Kahlen and Akinli's forbidden love is unashamedly romantic, as is the story's central dilemma: should Kahlen follow her heart or follow the rules?
