The Fairy Dogmother

Publisher: Little Tiger

Cinders the dog lives at Woofington’s Dog Shelter with a whole host of doggy friends. One day, he’s understandably surprised when Priscilla Paws, a Fairy Dogmother, appears out of thin air and offers to grant Cinders a wish. But what will he wish for?

The other dogs at the shelter all make some good suggestions: sausages are popular, of course, as are longer legs and the ability to catch one’s own tail. But after much thought, Cinders decides that his wish will be that all his friends will find perfect homes with people that love them.

Yet, having made such an unselfish wish, where does that leave poor Cinders? Fortunately, there’s another fairy godmother across town, also granting wishes, who is going to make sure Cinders isn’t left out.

This colourful and joyous re-versioning of a doggy Cinderella is a delightful story for canine fans or anyone who loves a happy ending. Cinders demonstrates what being a great friend looks like, and Priscilla Paws is a wonderfully glam character that adds a bit of sparkle to the lives of some rather lonely dogs. Great fun.
