Murder in Midwinter
Publisher: Nosy Crow
Maya is on the bus home from school in London when she spots a man and a woman arguing on the street, and the man is holding a gun. She takes a photograph with her phone – and he sees her do it.
The next day a body is found in the River Thames, and he looks a lot like the man with the gun.
Is Maya a witness to a terrible crime? Fearing for her safety, the police send her away to stay on her aunt’s farm in the Welsh mountains. But will she be safe even there, surrounded by snow?
This is a fast-paced story with nail-biting action, a mystery to solve, and a heart-racing finish. A thrilling read; you’ll be clinging to the sides of your chair by the end.

This Book Is a really good book, what I enjoyed about it is the part when the person pointed the gun at the girl. It was really an interesting part, however I don't recommend people that are scared of these things should not read it. Overall it was a really nice Book.

I thought this book had a lot of adventure and action. I thought the main plot was at the beginning but I was wrong! The main part was near to the end. This made me want to ask lots of questions so I had to read on.This made me more engaged to the book and made me exited of what would happen next.I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and action and more. I hope you enjoy this book.

Everything about this book is amazing. it was definitely a book I would read again. The characters were interesting and everything had a back story. I though this book was really good!! It had all the features of a good mystery book: murder, suspense, red-herrings, cliff-hangers and a lot more!! I would highly recommended this book to other readers. Bookbuzz was really fun and I hope other readers in the future can enjoy mystery books like this...

Although rather short, I found this book to be very enjoyable, and whilst reading it, I did not encounter a single section that was not interesting. This book is well written, and it introduced me to the mystery genre.

This is one of the best books I have ever read! It is so frightening especially the twist at the end. Great book. Fleur Hitchock has defo cornered the market in hard- boiled crimes for the market. You guys should totes read this book.

This book intrigued me at first and made me feel as if I was a detective, trying to find out who did it. Later on in the book it starts get a bit boring, but then the storyline really starts to get interesting and gripping. I would say that this book is intriguing and a good Horror/ Mystery book! However it lacks adventure in the story.
