Little Lou and the Woolly Mammoth

Publisher: Bloomsbury

Little Lou is a curious girl who is bored and looking for something to play with. She pulls at a loose end of woolly string in her room. It's attached to a big woolly mammoth! A fun chase begins - with the mammoth chasing a frightened Lou, and Lou then chasing  the frightened mammoth - until finally they stop being scared and each have made a new friend to play with.

This rhyming picture book tells an entertaining and engaging story with funny twists. The text emphasises certain words, and has 'stompety-stomp' sounds during the chase, making it a good book to read aloud. This is a lovely story about new experiences and first impressions, which can be scary but can also lead to making a new friend and becoming more confident.
