Just Like Daddy

The little raccoon in this book wants to be just like Daddy. Daddy is so brave that he keeps his eyes open on rollercoasters AND can get rid of spiders in the bathroom; he does all the silly voices when he reads stories AND builds treehouses. Even though she's growing up fast, Daddy says that he'll love his little one forever, no matter what. And, most important of all, Daddy remembers how much fun it is to be small.

This is a cute and heart-warming picture book for all dads and little ones. The raccoons are appealingly sweet and full of fun, with lots of movement and dynamism in the illustration. The message - that nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes sometimes, but that children are loved nevertheless - remains as relevant as ever. A perfect book for dads and their little raccoons.
