This is a fantastic chapter book with a sweet cast of characters and plenty of light witchy fun to enjoy. It boasts short chapters, a clear layout and lots of friendly two-colour illustrations by Saoirse Lou with a cool purple theme. This is a debut from author Arden Jones, and she has crafted a really relatable character with Witchy Boo that will keep children engaged as the series progresses. There is a gentle theme of accepting yourself for who you are and not being afraid to defy other people’s expectations.
