About this book

Angus hates history. He can’t see the point. Who cares what people were doing or thinking thousands of years ago?

To avoid doing his history homework, he takes the dog out. But McQueen runs off behind the local supermarket and somehow Angus ends up in a runaway trolley with the nice lady from the cheese counter. And then the trolley starts to speak.

Having expected to be seriously squished by a large brick wall, Angus is shocked to find himself slipping through time to Roman Britain, where he discovers how Marge manages to source some of her more unusual cheeses.

This could be the start of a great adventure but, when the trolley develops a wonky wheel, it has serious consequences for time travel.

With chariot racing, robotic laser cannons, cheese grenades, an evil emperor from the 99th century, some very angry Vikings, a cameo appearance by William Shakespeare, and a travelling companion from ancient Egypt, Angus not only gets some great ideas for his homework project, but has some near-death experiences thrown in too!

Tense, wildly imaginative, laugh-out-loud funny and sometimes just plain silly, this madcap adventure may mean that history (and cheese) will never seem the same again.
