About this book
It’s night time in Motor Isle, and while most of its cute little residents are tucked up cosily in bed, everyone in the Good Night Garage is working through the night to make sure that everything is ready for the next day.
Every vehicle has its own special duty: the marking lorry sprays lines on the road to make sure everyone knows where to go; the bin lorry takes away the smelly rubbish; the fire trucks and ambulances answer calls all night; and the street sweeper keeps the streets clean.
The rhyming text in this charming picture book has a gentle, soothing rhythm, which means that this makes a perfect bedtime book for little ones – especially children that love trucks, cars, and big vehicles.
Meg Hunt’s cute, soft-coloured illustrations complement the story beautifully and show children the vehicles at work, driven and working with cute animal characters. There’s lots of nice background detail to look at in the night time town, too, making this a lovely bedtime book that can be enjoyed over and over again.
