About this book
Storm of Odin is a fearsome magical stormhound who races across thunderous skies alongside the great warrior Odin. On his first Wild Hunt, he is unable to keep up with the pack and tumbles through the clouds to earth. Landing on the outskirts of Abergavenny, he is dismayed when he transforms into a little black puppy and is taken to a dog rescue centre.
Meanwhile, following her parents’ separation, Jessica is struggling to adjust to life in Wales with her dad and brother. To help her settle into her new home, Dad takes her to choose a dog from the rescue centre. She picks Storm and, despite his reluctance to mingle with humans, they quickly become inseparable. However, they are oblivious to the grave danger that surrounds them when several mysterious strangers appear in town, emitting an unmistakable air of magic and showing a keen interest in the whereabouts of the missing stormhound.
Fast-paced and funny, this otherworldly adventure is a heartwarming tale of friendship and loyalty. With entertaining characters and a clever plot, it explores parental separation, moving home and developing a sense of belonging, with humour, sensitivity and a touch of magic.
