About this book

Spot and Dad are off to the aquarium – but will Spot find the clownfish he's looking for?

The incredibly lovable Spot is back with another hide-and-seek (in this case, “slide-and-seek”) adventure. This time, he’s off on a day trip to see all the wonderful creatures at his local aquarium.

Nicely interactive, every page of this board book offers something a bit different: whether it’s a tab to jiggle an octopus around or pull-down slides to reveal a lurking flatfish. The book does also manage to squeeze a good variety of sea life to point at and identify, beyond all the usual suspects.

There’s even a surprise teaser at the back of the book, if you look at the slide from the other side. Maybe Spot can see a shark this time, after all…

Bursting with colour and interactive detail, this book is another great addition to the Spot universe: a friendly yellow dog who is still much loved by children, 40 years after he was first created by Eric Hill.

About the author

Eric Hill (1927-2014) started his artistic career as an art studio messenger and from there went on to become a cartoonist and eventually an art director at a leading advertising agency. In 1978 Eric made up a story about a small puppy to read to his son at bedtime and Spot was born. The success of his first bestselling lift-the-flap classic Where's Spot? in 1980 convinced him to become a full-time author, and his Spot books have been enjoyed by children around the world ever since. In 2008 he was awarded an OBE for services to children's literacy.
