About this book
Best friends Sandy and Lily live in the seaside village of Portwhistle. They are training to become ocean explorers, and together they make up the Coastal Rescue Team, on hand to help any creature in need.
Sandy and his mum live in the Museum of Seaside Stories, but the building is in urgent need of repair, and money has run out. Conservation company Splash Landing, led by Albo Start, has offered to buy the museum, promising to build a railway to bring visitors to the village, which will help to fund the museum repairs.
However, Sandy and Lily don’t trust Start: why would a conservationist arrive in a convoy of big, dirty trucks? Determined to uncover the truth and protect the marine environment, the pair embark on a dangerous mission to expose Start and put a stop to his dastardly plans.
This rip-roaring, sea-faring adventure is the first in a four-part series. It combines mystery, humour and a smattering of fantasy to create an intriguing tale, packed full of larger-than-life heroes and villains.
Fun black-and-white illustrations feature throughout, bringing the characters and settings to life.
