About this book

Everyone loves peekaboo! Play peekaboo with lots of brightly coloured, friendly dinosaurs in this fun interactive book. Can you find the dinosaur in the egg, or the one behind the leaves? And on the final page, there's a mirror so that baby can join in too.

Sturdy sliders on every page encourage little fingers to push and pull to discover who's hiding. This interaction can help develop fine motor skills, all while having fun. There is a variety in where the slider appears - some popping out above or from the side of the page - which means that it's not a repetitive action. Thus it bears frequent rereading, like all the best books.

The simple rhyming text and bold illustrations complement each other perfectly, and there's some lovely humour. For instance, on the 'Peekaboo small' page, the baby dinosaur in the egg is small, but the dragonfly is even smaller. This gives the adult and child something extra to talk about, broadening the age range that would enjoy sharing this robus, fun book.

Camilla Reid and Ingela P. Arrhenius are masters of the brilliant baby book. Delightful.
