About this book

Nora Nightsky is a star, but not the celebrity kind; she's an actual star – the daughter of the dazzling North Star and a part of the Ursa Minor constellation, to be precise.

But while the rest of her family love to sparkle and grant people's wishes from afar, Nora prefers the shadows. She doesn’t want to spend her star dust granting silly human wishes. After all, shouldn’t people solve their own problems?

Everything changes when a girl named Olivia writes to her wishing for a pet. For the first time, Nora breaks her family’s rules; with the help of Leap, her hare-shaped celestial friend, she journeys down to Earth and, together with Olivia, sets out to make the wish come true.

But time is limited: if Nora doesn’t return before her magic fades, she may find herself stuck on Earth forever.

Nora’s fantastic adventure is a funny and imaginative story that will capture young readers’ hearts from the outset. Despite being a shining star, Nora has a wonderfully rebellious streak that leads to some hilarious situations when she meets the infectiously upbeat Olivia.

The story is complemented by Becka Moor’s super illustrations, which capture Nora’s mischievous character perfectly and add an extra layer of magic to the book.
